I tried out the down alternative TwinCloud Pillow, and it is as puffy as a marshmallow. You actually get two pillows in one; it’s all in how you zip it together! On each pillow, there’s a tag indicating the feel (“Softer” on one side and “Firmer” on the other). Due to the reversible cotton construction, the TwinCloud will be soft or firm based on which side you zip.
Stomach sleepers, you’ll want to pay attention here! When the pillows are zipped together, there’s a hole in the middle, but for good reason. The space makes an ergonomic place to rest your arm, and you can lay your head on a soft cushion without any bumps or lumps. There isn’t a dedicated cover for the TwinCloud Pillow (yet), but it fits into standard pillowcases without a problem. However, since the TwinCloud Pillow is machine washable, you don’t really need a cover at all.
I loved experimenting with all the different ways to use the TwinCloud Pillow. Leave it unzipped and lay it flat for lower cushioning, drape it over the back of the couch for extra padding while lounging, or zip multiple TwinClouds together to make a plush body pillow or mattress topper for one. (And while I haven’t tried this out for myself yet, the TwinCloud has great structure for a solid pillow fort … just sayin’.) By the end of the first week of sleeping with it, I was already dreaming about picking up a second one. And now’s a perfect time, since this game-changing pillow is on sale for 10 percent off. How’s that for twinning?
