I enjoy doing mazes, especially unusual ones. Do you think this activity has any cognitive benefit?

Alas, I believe it has little direct benefit apart from exercising your attention span. But I think you should be pleased that you have a satisfying, solitary pursuit that you enjoy, maybe with a cup of tea, and need nothing more to savor just being alive for a while.

Readers, did you know there’s a way to solve almost any traditional maze? (No mazes with traps or interior exits, etc.) As you start, just adhere to either the right or left “wall,” going everywhere that takes you. You may travel an exceptionally long route, but you will eventually exit the maze.
